"Nice venue, but felt a bit overlooked"
I had an okay day at Ascot overall. The place itself is really nice and easy to find your way around, so no complaints there. The main letdown for me was the price of food and drinks. A basic lunch and a couple of drinks ended up costing way more than I expected. I get that events like this are never going to be cheap, but it still felt excessive. When I mentioned it, it kind of felt like it was just brushed off, which was a bit disappointing. I’d go back for the racing, but next time I’d definitely eat before arriving. Three stars feels about right

For the most part, the site was accessible and I could find my way around without much trouble. The checkout process did feel a little clunky at first, but it wasn’t a huge deal and I was still able to get through it okay.

We went as a family and it was okay overall. The kids had a bit of space to run around, but there wasn’t a huge amount to keep them busy for long. The staff were friendly enough, which helped, but I do think places like this need to be clearer about what they actually offer for families, especially if they’re promoting it as a family-friendly day out. I’d maybe go back, but not expecting it to fill a whole day.

"Refund was easy enough"
I had to return my tickets after my plans changed, which was preventable if I’d double-checked everything before booking. The refund took a few days, but it came through without any issues, and support got back to me quickly. No real drama in the end.

"Great first impression with the racecourse view"
The first thing I noticed was the view over the racecourse, it set the tone right away. It was such a great spot to sit back and take it all in. Really loved the experience.

"Parking was just really stressful"
I booked through ascot and the website itself was just fine, no real issues there. But the parking information felt poor. On the day, it was stressful trying to figure out where to go, with lots of cars, long queues, and even the staff didn’t seem that sure. It just wasn’t a great start to the visit. For somewhere as big as ascot, I expected the parking to be much better organised. I’d think twice before going again.

I went to Ascot expecting the crowds to be an absolute nightmare, but it was a lot better than I thought. Getting in was smooth, and there were staff around pointing everyone where to go, which really helped because you know when you’re trying to figure out where you’re meant to be and then suddenly you’re just following a crowd? Anyway, it felt mostly well organised. The only reason I’d give it 4 stars is that later on the queues near the bars and toilets got a bit messy. Not terrible, just a bit of clearer signage would’ve helped. Overall though, for such a busy place, it felt safe and not too stressful

"Really easy to deal with"
I had a small issue with my order, so I messaged ascot.com without really expecting much. They was actually quick to reply and got it sorted without turning it into a big hassle. The replies was nice and clear too, which I appreciated. i was surprised how easy the whole thing ended up being. Happy with the service.

I booked through ascot.com when we first got there the place looked mostly tidy. The main areas were fine and the bins weren’t too bad early on, so it started off okay. But as the day went on, the toilets got messy and some tables had cups sitting there for ages. It wasn’t terrible, but it did feel like they kept making these vague promises about a smooth, well-managed day without really having enough staff around to keep on top of things. Not the worst experience, just a bit underwhelming. 3 stars from me...

"Glad I Checked Before Going"
I used ascot.com to figure out what I should wear, i’m glad I did because I would’ve regretted showing up in the wrong outfit. The guidance was mostly easy to follow, though a few sections felt like they could’ve been a bit shorter. Still, it helped me feel more confident about what to wear

"Nice place, but the signs need work"
I went to Ascot recently the place itself is lovely, but the signage was not it. It took us way too long to figure out the right entrance and then finding the toilets was another mission. Come on now, that should not be that confusing. The staff were helpful once we asked, which I appreciated, but the wayfinding really needs to be clearer because it made getting around more stressful than it needed to be

The atmosphere was unreal from start to finish. I wasn’t expecting much, and I’m usually a bit wary because customer service can be hit or miss, but the vibe all day was genuinely great.

"Easy enough, but the mobile layout could be clearer"
I used Ascot to get my mobile tickets and overall it was painless. The email came through quickly, and the tickets opened fine on my phone when I got to the gate. I did waste a minute or two trying to figure out where to download them, which I’ll partly blame on myself not being the most patient, but the mobile layout definitely could make it more obvious. Still, everything worked in the end and I didn’t have any real issues

The ticket prices felt fair to me, especially compared to what a lot of other places are charging these days. Booking was straightforward too, without any confusing steps or hassle. Overall, it was an easy experience.
